SUN REPLACES FUEL

Since April 2016 we no longer need additional generators for the power supply of the school!

During a solar energy workshop in February 2015, Uwe and Beate Buchwitz, experts in solar energy (especially in tropical surroundings), analysed the different solar systems of Hope Eden. The results showed that the solar energy system of the school had to be redesigned and newly dimensioned.

Consequently, we decided to invest in an advanced, high-quality solar energy system. The existing solar panels were integrated into the new system, and the faulty batteries and inverter were replaced. The system is designed to allow easy, low budget, expansion in case of a growing power demand.

In May 2018 the system was inspected, and some Panels added, formerly used in another system. It turned out, that the system size will be sufficient for the next years to come.

An investment not only improving the learning conditions in Hope Eden School siginficantly, but also a contribution to a clean environment.
